A Blank Mind on My New Blog

So, this is my new blog. Things that represent me, things I rant about, and stuff I share to the world. As a computer expert and a kid that goes to college, my rule is to strive for perfection since I believe there is always a better way of doing things.

I started this blog, because I wanted to write my thoughts on my life. It’s not just some plain o’ life talking about a person getting their bagel every morning and going to work. It’s about the philosophy of me living on earth and becoming a person who’s so particular in many kinds of reasons and how someone like me loves technology so much.

My Thoughts Become My Life

Long story short, programming has never been my piece of mind. I liked becoming a technician, but it was too easy to learn. I mean, user interface, mouse and keyboard. One clicks, two clicks and your job is basically done. What’s the point anyways? There is none.

So I tried programming once, and I was like. What the heck is this mumbo jumbo? Somehow it kinda just scared me the crap out. I didn’t know what I was doing, besides I didn’t understand code at all. So I started a website because I thought well… it was cool. It felt fun at first, but it was a pain in the neck managing one.

If you thought this was my first website, it isn’t. Counting back at the old websites I used to own and manage, this blog is the fifth one, and it’s the last one I will be messing around with. Took me almost six years just to start understanding how a website actually influences people.

How I Started Programming

I remember the first code I wrote was CSS. It was sort of difficult to understand because I never researched about it nor did I read books on what it was. All I knew was that it was code and really was so damn hard to work out. So I learned it the hard way. One day, I was trying to margin an object to the right, and I used HTML’s no-break spacing ( ) to achieve that. It wasn’t completely aligned, but it kinda worked. Although, I didn’t like what I did.

So out of nowhere, I started copying and paste styling templates. You know, the one that starts with a pound (#) or a dot (you know what that is). Then I started with this code called padding-left. I was way beyond the limits of my comfort zone (I didn’t even realize). All I know was that it came from the same CSS file I was working on. It had a pixel thingy defined to it, so I copied the code, and adjusted it a bit with Firebug. Surprisingly, it worked!

That was the day I started to write up my own code and even started an even better blog. The feeling is different, but I understood it. I had built sites with WordPress, Magento, Drupal and all sorts of different types of software I installed on shared hosting accounts I used to own.

Now, it’s more of a professional environment. Professional skills meet awesome design and awesome design meets a developers that follow good programming practices. That was it.
